Music is rarely made alone. Despite the challenges that home-based learning may bring to the music classroom, our Year 7-9 students have done brilliantly to come together for a collaborative performance of Ed Sheeren’s ‘Shape of You’. In our online Music lessons, students worked on the melodic riffs, rhythmic patterns and chord progressions of the song and recorded its different parts on their own instruments at home, before it was all put together as a combined musical piece.
