UN Visit – Beacon Core Students
On Thursday, our Beacon Core students took part in a fantastic trip to the United Nations Offices of Thailand. They were welcomed by a UN representative who showed them around the building during their own private tour. The students had the chance to sit in the delegate seats, and imagine life as a UN delegate! After this, they were treated to 2 talks which focused on the 17 UN sustainable development goals. This was a great way for the students to consider their role in making the world a better place. In a few weeks, the students will present their own assembly based on the trip, to encourage their peers to work towards the global development goals too.
