She studied Childhood Studies at Aberystwyth University, gaining a BA Honours. She then gained her PGCE and Qualified Teaching status from the University of Chester. Since qualifying, Miss Doody has taught at a number of different schools across the West Midlands, England. She has previously worked as Head of Writing and History.\r\n\r\nThrough many years of experience, Miss Doody loves to put energetic fun into her lessons and always encourages her children to challenge themselves and be the best they can be. She is huge on both children\u2019s and adult\u2019s wellbeing and is very passionate about this being a main part of school life alongside learning. Miss Doody has wanted to be a teacher since she was at primary school herself. This means that she is very passionate about her job, offers a warm welcome and loves seeing everyone achieve their dreams.\r\n\r\nMiss Doody has loved being Deputy Head of Year 1 and 2 this year and working closely with Reception to support transition. Miss Doody knows how important Year 1 is for development and has worked towards creating opportunities for play-based learning within the curriculum.\r\n\r\nIn her own time, Miss Doody loves going on new adventures, along with discovering and exploring new places. Miss Doody also loves having some quiet time.
