He studied his BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at Nottingham Trent University and graduated in 2002. He then completed his PGCE the following year at the same institution where he completed teaching practices in two different schools located in central England.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since completing his teaching qualification, Mr Drake has been teaching Mathematics in a variety of schools and colleges in the Nottingham and Derby areas of the United Kingdom. In 2016, he moved, with his family, to his first international post in Guangzhou, China, where he spent five years as a Teacher of Mathematics and also held a Head of Year role at the school. He then moved in 2021 to Moscow, Russia, where he again taught Mathematics and was a Year group lead. Mr Drake arrived at DBS in August 2023 as a Teacher of Mathematics and has been Assistant Head of Years 9-11 since the beginning of the 2024\/25 academic year.<\/span>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his spare time, Mr Drake enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and takes part in various sports whenever he has the opportunity.
