The competition brought together some of the brightest young minds from around the world to showcase their innovative creations and problem-solving abilities. Three teams from DBS were among the qualified teams, and two of them went on to win the Create Award and the Judges Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DBS students have once again made their school proud by emerging victorious at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championships 2023. The competition, held from April 28 to May 4, 2023, in Texas, USA, saw over 14,000 teams from around the world competing for a chance to showcase their talents. The elementary school team, \u201cThe Meekanisms,\u201d composed of Jani, Lene, Puth, and Chann, won the Judges award for their division, recognising their excellent teamwork, exemplary effort, and perseverance at the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"gdlr-core-pbf-element\">\n<div class=\"gdlr-core-text-box-item gdlr-core-item-pdlr gdlr-core-item-pdb gdlr-core-left-align\">\n<div class=\"gdlr-core-text-box-item-content\" style=\"text-transform: none;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The students have worked incredibly hard and their dedication has paid off. They should be proud of their achievements on the world stage. In our technologically advanced society, the skills that they have gained through VEX robotics will ensure they are well equipped for the future,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d expressed <\/span><b>Mrs Jodi Steans, Head of English at DBS Denla British School,\u00a0 who accompanied students on the trip.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The competition required students to form alliances with other teams to increase point values in different segments. In addition to completing the challenge with alliance teams, students participated in skills challenges and autonomous challenges. At the beginning of the year, students were issued a challenge and had to work hard to create a robot to complete that challenge. The students built and programmed their robots to complete the challenge, and during the design and build process, they maintained an engineering notebook detailing the process. Additionally, students had to drive the robot to ensure it could perform the challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DBS is a leading educational institution in Thailand, providing students with a holistic education that focuses on academic excellence and personal growth. The school has a strong reputation for its commitment to fostering innovation, creativity, and critical thinking skills among its students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The school has been a strong supporter of the students, providing them with the resources and mentorship needed to develop their skills and pursue their passion for robotics.
