Over the weekend, DBS science leads Mrs McMillan and Ms Cronin generously volunteered their time and expertise to guide 160 primary students, representing a diverse range of backgrounds, on an unforgettable Mission Mars!
Through hands-on activities, the students explored the challenges humans will face on Mars while developing essential STEM skills. Their excitement was fueled by the energy and dedication of our volunteer educators and the inspiring presence of NASA Astronaut Sam Gemar.
What an incredible experience for these future scientists and explorers!
This is just the beginning! DBS is thrilled to announce upcoming plans with Starlight Education, including a potential visit from Susan Kilrain, the youngest female NASA astronaut to pilot a space shuttle, in February. Stay tuned for more exciting opportunities to inspire future scientists and explorers!
