Mrs Sophie Berry

Mrs Sophie Berry is the Head of the Lower School here at DBS. She previously led the Pre-Prep at DBS for five years, following leadership and teaching roles in both independent and state schools in England. She has recently completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship, further supporting her drive for excellence in education.

Mrs Berry is a passionate and caring leader who is deeply committed to providing every child with the very best education. She believes that all children should feel happy, valued and inspired to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. Building strong relationships is at the heart of her leadership, and it is her belief that parents, children and staff should all feel part of the same shared journey.

Mrs Berry’s ambition has always been to lead a school where children thrive in a supportive, inclusive and forward thinking environment. Outside of school, she enjoys travelling with her family, exploring wildlife and supporting conservation. She is also a proud DBS parent, with two children at the school.
