Specialist-taught Drama lessons, combined with strong cross-curricular links to English and Humanities, provide students with the opportunity to develop their literacy, communication, confidence and problem-solving skills in a creative, performance-based environment.
Our vision at DBS is to ensure active, drama-based approaches become embedded across the curriculum, with active learning allowing our students to deepen both their intellectual and empathetic understanding of a wide variety of topics. By exploring characters and texts from history and literature, students will grow to be thoughtful and reflective individuals, able to understand their own choices and the choices of others. In turn, they will grow to become mature, insightful and creative problem-solvers.
