Mr Ryan Miller

Mr Miller is an English teacher from Manchester with a strong belief in the power of literacy to build confidence, creativity, and cultural understanding. He holds a Master’s in Literature, Culture, and Identity and has completed an NPQ in Leading Literacy. His lessons focus on developing articulate, reflective learners able to engage with complex texts and ideas.

A committed advocate for equity, Mr Miller has led Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives across themes such as anti-racism, gender equality, and student wellbeing. Literature often serves as a springboard for these conversations. Before teaching, he trained as a midwife—an experience that shaped his calm, compassionate approach to both education and pastoral care.

Outside the classroom, Mr Miller enjoys philosophy, visual arts, cycling, music, cooking, and travel. He is passionate about making meaningful connections between classroom learning and the wider world.
