We are thrilled to introduce Mr Ivan Lopez, who brings nearly two decades of experience in teaching the international British curriculum. Passionate about making technology accessible and engaging for all, Mr Lopez is known for his dynamic approach in the classroom. His lessons encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, helping students develop the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving digital world. Many of his former students have gone on to excel in areas such as video game programming, artificial intelligence, and user interface design, a testament to his inspiring teaching.
Having recently moved to Thailand with his family, Mr Lopez is excited to embrace this new adventure. He is already enjoying the warmth of the local culture and the DBS community. As an avid traveller, he has explored much of Europe in his VW T4 California Van, including a memorable two-month journey through Northern Spain. Outside of school, he loves spending quality time with his family, hiking, and staying active by playing basketball. He looks forward to discovering Thailand’s natural beauty and sharing new experiences with his loved ones.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr Lopez is currently pursuing a master’s degree in video game programming and design. He believes that video game programming is not only a fun way to teach programming but also a valuable tool for inspiring students to develop technical skills. This passion for cutting-edge technology allows him to bring fresh, innovative ideas into the classroom, ensuring his students have access to the most relevant and exciting learning experiences.

Mr Lopez is looking forward to the year ahead and is eager to work closely with students, parents, and the broader DBS community. We are confident that his enthusiasm and expertise will make a positive impact on our students, and we are delighted to welcome him to the DBS family.
