DBS Robotics Team Won 5 Trophies at the VEXIQ World Championships!

‘Dogbot’, ‘Not Vile Alpaca’, and ‘God Mode’, three groups of students from the DBS Robotics Team, have proved their excellence at the VEXIQ World Championships Competition held live online in Texas, USA. They have won 5 trophies against competitors from around the world!

The DBS Robotics Team have worked tirelessly to develop skills in engineering, robot design, technical drawing, programming, game strategy, driving and most importantly, working as a team. The CCA ran until December but they have put in many extra hours of work during breaks, lunch, weekends and more recently using their holidays for practice and competition.

Middle School – Saturn Division (5th out of 5 divisions) – Team Not Vile Alpaca 55580A

Trophy 1 – Division Champions – Highest scoring team in their division for Programming and Driving Skills Competition.

Trophy 2 – Division Excellence Award – this is presented to a team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a high-quality robotics program.

An amazing achievement – this means they are the best overall in their division!

Middle School – Jupiter Division (4th out of 5 divisions) – Team God Mode 55580B

Trophy 3 – Division Think Award – this is presented to a team with the most effective and consistent programming strategies and solutions to solve the game challenge.

Elementary School – Mars Division (3rd out of 4 divisions) – Team Dogbot 55580C

Trophy 4 – Division Champions – Highest scoring team in their division for Programming and Driving Skills Competition.

Trophy 5 – Division Think Award – this is presented to a team with the most effective and consistent programming strategies and solutions to solve the game challenge.
