Our first Summer Camp has started! During the camp, children are given a range of opportunities to work and play alongside their peers to develop English language, self-confidence, communication skills, co-operation skills and express themselves creatively through a range of interactive learning experiences including football, drama, tennis and computing along with art and learning software.
On Friday 14th July, our EY1 to Year 6 parents gathered at the DBS Theatre for the end of Transition Programme whole school final assembly. The students showcased their learning through speeches, video presentations and song. Congratulations and many thanks to all involved for ensuring the unique 11-week programme was a great success.
]In ESL this week we have been talking about speaking English around the school. It’s important that we encourage our children to speak English as much as possible so that they become fluent and proficient. Look how our tree has grown – just like our children in speaking English.
During the Transition Progranme, our early years Penguin class have made new friends, developed their English language skills and have become more independent. To conclude our learning this month, we visited Dinosaur Planet where we managed to find all of our favourite dinosaurs amongst the trees and bushes!
