There are two stages to the Denla Piano Competition. The preliminary round will consist of pre-recorded video submissions. From these submissions, our adjudicator will select the most capable performers to progress through to the final round: a live concert performance taking place on Thursday, 20 June 2024, 4.00pm at the purpose-built Araya Hall in DBS Denla British School.
All students aged 4 and above who are studying in any school in Thailand are welcome to participate in the Denla Piano Competition 2024.
Category A (4 to 7 years old)
Category B (8 to 12 years old)
Category C (13 years and above)
Participants must submit their recorded performance for the preliminary round via this Registration Form. Entries are open until 5.00 PM on Wednesday, 01 May 2024.
Their chosen piano piece(s) can be of any musical style, from classical, to jazz, to pop.
There will be a registration fee of THB 990,- per participant for Categories A and B, and a registration fee of THB 1290,- per participant for Category C. Please scroll to the bottom for instructions on how to pay the fee.
For the preliminary round, all participants will be judged according to a set criteria, and be awarded one of the following based on their attained score:

DBS is delighted to introduce our esteemed panel of adjudicators for this year’s competition. They include internationally acclaimed pianists and music educators from Thailand and around the world.
In accordance with the judging criteria, the adjudicators will choose a limited number of participants from each category to progress through to the final, which will be hosted live in DBS’s newly opened auditorium on Thursday, 20 June 2024, 4.00 pm.
Finalists may choose to perform a different piece in concert, and may also choose to perform more than one piece. Performing the same piece from the preliminary round is also allowed. However, their total performance time should not exceed their respective category’s time limit. See below for details on each category’s time limit for the final round.
All finalists need to submit a copy of the musical score for the final performance to DBS Denla British School at least three days before the final round, for the adjudicators’ use.

All participants in the Denla Piano Competition 2024 will receive a certificate of commendation and a medal, awarded at different levels depending on their performance.
