Miss Lee was born in Exeter, England, before moving to Bristol during university to study Biomedical Science. Before training for her qualified teacher status at the University of Exeter, Miss Lee spent some time travelling and teaching English as a foreign language online and in a school in South Korea. Since qualifying as a teacher, Miss Lee has been working at a school in Bournemouth, England teaching all three sciences.
Within the classroom, Miss Lee values students’ individualism and prior experiences, drawing on the importance of different viewpoints and diversity in thinking to tackle the biggest questions within science. She encourages every student to become independent and confident thinkers, emphasising the importance of asking questions during scientific enquiry, and carefully plans practical experiments to allow students to develop their investigative and analytical skills. She believes that science is a subject where students can not only learn incredible things about the world around them, but also one where students can see and experience what they’re learning for themselves.
