Jonny read Natural Sciences at Cambridge University and completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at King’s College London and his National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) through UCL. He is a founding fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching.
Jonny decided to train to be a teacher after experiencing teaching Mathematics at St Malachy’s College, Belfast. He then taught Science specialising in Physics at Hampstead School in London, before moving to the British School in Tokyo as Head of Science and subsequently progressing to Assistant Head. He then moved to Italy to become Deputy Head (Academic) at the British School of Milan before moving to Thailand where he was Head of Upper School at Harrow Bangkok for 6 years. Jonny has an excellent track record for improving academic outcomes across several schools.
