Biography

Mrs Naomi Grassi is originally from Bath, England, and holds a BA (Hons) in Early Years Education along with a Diploma of Education from the University of Birmingham. With over 18 years of experience in Early Years teaching, she has worked in both international and UK schools—including a leading international school in Shanghai—before joining DBS Denla British School as Head of Early Years.

A passionate advocate for nurturing confident, independent learners, Mrs Grassi believes that when children feel safe, valued and joyful in their environment, they become enthusiastic, fearless learners. Her approach is rooted in creating a warm, play-rich setting where each child’s unique personality and potential can shine.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs Grassi is an avid traveller and developed her love for education while volunteering in Uganda and Belize. Now living in Thailand with her husband and two children—who also attend DBS—she enjoys immersing herself in local culture, food, and community. In her free time, she enjoys music festivals, yoga, tennis, running, reading on the beach, and speaking Italian. She is proud to lead the Early Years team at DBS and is committed to driving a vibrant, child-centred learning journey for all.
