The JV Boys basketball team produced an exceptional team performance against an experienced and well coached TSIS team who are fresh from a 3 game winning streak. The boys started strongly with some brilliant team defending, ensuring they held the lead at half time. TSIS struggled to penetrate the DBS defensive unit and only managed 11 points at half time, thanks to Yo-yo who rebounded the ball well, ably supported by both Pan and David.
Nacho showed his skills with an agile move to keep DBS close in the 3rd quarter. However, the experience of TSIS showed in the fourth quarter as they managed to maintain the narrow lead into the final seconds: DBS narrowly losing by just 4 points.
Many outstanding performances made picking an MVP very difficult, however, the award goes to Nacho for his overall contribution both offensively and defensively.
This was a huge team improvement in just their second fixture. The boys are determined to get the W in their next fixture.
