Chess is an intense intellectually challenging game. It is a battle of minds where players develop their IQs, EQs as well as their problem-solving skill, planning skill, memory and concentration.
The co-curricular activities are also our main focus to support students’ interest and talents beyond the classrooms. We are proud to announce the opening of our DBS Chess Centre. 15 dedicated tables of chess for our students to enjoy during their breaks, lunchtimes and CCAs.
When participating in chess, students are faced with challenges and problems that they have to solve in order to play their best game. Chess can help you to think ahead, not rush your decisions, and weigh the pluses and minuses of your choices. These are all key skills that DBS is developing in our students.
