Students, parents, and staff made donations to Second Chance Bangkok to support Klong Toey community.

As a result of our project ‘DBS Cares’ in June 2021, students throughout the school, as well as their parents, teachers, learning assistants, and support staff, participated in numerous acts of kindness, one of which was donating used but in good condition items to Second Chance Bangkok.

Second Chance Bangkok is a social organisation that supports residents of Bangkok’s largest slum, Klong Toey. Their vision is to Re(up)cycle, Reuse, and Renew. Now we have completed the donation collection and have received a large amount of clothing, shoes, bags, books, toys, household items such as pots, pans, and mattresses, and high-quality musical instruments including guitars and violins.

We have donated these products to Second Chance Bangkok and these items will now be distributed to the Klong Toey community. As we care for our own community, we strive to help others in every way we can. Also through this initiative, DBS students have learned about kindness through committing to charity work and connecting with their community.
