DBS invests in the future by building its third covered sports hall, highlighting the best facilities among international schools.
Denla British School (DBS), a premium international school that implements the enhanced British curriculum from the best practice of independent schools in the UK, continues to expand its facilities to lay a multi-dimensional foundation for learning and student’s development, emphasising its image as providing some of the very best facilities among international schools.
Besides rigorous academic standards from the British independent school curriculum, DBS also focuses on an all-round development of students. Academic qualifications such as IGCSE and A Level examinations are necessary for getting into the world’s top universities, but unique skills such as leadership, social skills, talents, and passions are also needed. These attributes can’t be picke up overnight, but must be cultivated from a young age. DBS operates under the vision, “Nurturing Global Leaders,” and to achieve this goal, DBS is dedicated to making its facilities of a world-class quality, to support students so that they all can reach their full potential.
Mr Mark McVeigh, DBS Principal, who has extensive experience from leading schools in the UK and South East Asia, says that the architecture of the school buildings is specifically designed to complement the teaching curriculum. Facilities are generally better, and classrooms are about 50% more spacious than other international schools, so they can fully support teaching and learning, bringing out students’ potential to the fullest. To support students’ quality of education, DBS has built a third covered sports hall (DBS Sports Hall 3) to add to our large air-conditioned sports hall and our other covered sports hall.
DBS Sports Hall 3 is an open 22 x 55 metres with a roof . The floor is laid with a high-quality artificial grass suitable for football, futsal, and team sports. Our three sports halls means that DBS provides some of the very best facilities among international schools in Thailand. DBS Sport Hall 3 is also right next to Café DBS where parents can enjoy food and beverages while waiting for their children to finish school activities.
The DBS facilities also include a full-size football field with FIFA-preferred 2 Star turf, standard athletic tracks, indoor salt-water swimming pool, gymnastic studio, tennis courts, golf training facility, long jump pit, 3 playgrounds, sand pit, 3 performing arts studios, music rooms, private music rooms, computer lab, science labs, library, art studio, and exhibition room.
The Unique DBS Vision involves an Enhanced British Curriculum, Academic Excellence for All, Entrepreneurship and Creative Thinking, and Community and Global Perspectives. This contributes to student development in all areas and encourages student successes, as illustrated by the many academic and non-academic awards given to DBS students. Our vision, together with our world-class facilities, have resulted in DBS being recognised as one of the “THE BEST INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS IN BANGKOK AND THAILAND 2019” from the school website ranking: www.World-Schools.com
