Wai Kru celebrated virtually with highest respect towards Thai culture.

Wai Kru Day at DBS was celebrated online this year. Respect for this sacred ceremony in Thai culture remains of utmost significance.

The ceremony was streamed live online to all year groups, beginning with Mr Arn Pandejpong, Chairman of Denla Group, who granted us the honour of opening the virtual celebration. Mr Arn’s introductory statement was followed by Mr Jonny Liddell, DBS Principal, and our Head Boy, YoYo Y11, who presented the significance and history of Wai Kru Day. Pinky Y11 chanted the Wai Kru prayer excellently while we all watched the Wai Kru event from last year and participated in the well-wishes we gave to the teachers digitally on the Kudoboards.

The Wai Kru ceremony is all about students honoring their teachers and teachers showing their support for the students. This event showcases a beautiful aspect of Thai culture, and DBS cherishes it greatly. Students are the heart of the school, and we are ready to help, encourage, love, care for, and motivate them to be the best they can be.
